The Team

The Acting Poker and P2P Affiliate Manager forms part of the Acquisition channel management group within the Central Poker & P2P Games Commercial Team. The team is responsible for the running of the Poker and Peer-2-Peer products (Backgammon, Skill Dice Games) from a commercial perspective. My client are a highly motivated, experienced and successful team, outstripping their nearest competitors in relative performance, and pride themselves in putting our Poker & P2P Games customers at the heart of what they do.

Role Summary

My Client are looking for a contractor who will lead and run the affiliate acquisition channel for at least 4 months. The position reports to the Poker & P2P Acquisition Manager. It is a far-reaching and challenging position, tasked with overseeing the management of our multi-million pound acquisition channel. The position has 3 direct reports and sits within a virtual team of 10 people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for the end-to-end player acquisition marketing for the affiliate channel for Poker and P2P products with attributed KPI’s and budget
  • Devise and implement the affiliate marketing acquisition strategy to hit player value-in targets
  • Run an audit of the top Poker partnerships in order to improve volume and payback
  • Be accountable for the performance of strategic partnerships designed to maintain Poker awareness and consideration ratings
  • Be optimisation-obsessed, with a keen eye on spend and payback, the performance of the acquisition funnel, and new developments in channels/regions
  • Ensure that global promotions align with the needs of the top partners
  • Work with our team of regional managers to ensure that centrally run partnerships address the specific requirements of local markets and embed best practice behaviour in locally run activity
  • Be inspirational and lead by example via the team of direct reports and through the virtual team
  • Be confident and clear in business performance updates to senior management
  • Prepare business proposals that clearly outline the cost/benefit of new opportunities
  • Lead the response in player acquisition marketing to global campaign briefs and initiatives
  • Ensure a delivery of excellence in all our marketing

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience of successfully leading affiliate marketing channel for a top tier Gaming brand
  • Experience managing and developing a high performance team
  • A good communicator / presenter
  • Commercial acumen
  • Must be passionate about Poker, with an understanding of player psyche and knowledge of the industry
  • Degree level education
  • Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Desirable to have experience of marketing other P2P products (including Bingo)
  • Working on a brand on the Ongame / iPoker networks


  • Position will involve travel abroad
